Rinnai HydraHeat® Integrated Hot Water Heat Pump
The Rinnai HydraHeat® Integrated Hot Water Heat Pump combines a heat pump head unit with a mains pressure enamel storage cylinder. Designed for New Zealand conditions, the heat pump head is designed and built locally and is available with a 275L or 340L cylinder.

- Efficient air-source water heating with R290 refrigerant.
- Removable heat pump head for servicing, with a 2kW electric backup element.
- OLED controller with Standard, Boost, Eco 55, Eco 50, High Usage and Element Only modes.
- Built-in defrost and frost protection.

- 340L: 1995mm high × 692mm diameter. Model RHPN361A340E20.
- Operating ambient temperature: -10°C to +42°C.
- Rated heat pump input/output: 802W / 3725W.
- COP: 4.7 at 19°C inlet water, 55°C outlet water and 19°C ambient temperature.
- Hot water recovery: 89L/hour in Eco 55 mode at 19°C ambient temperature with a 36°C water temperature rise.
- Sound pressure: 45dB(A), measured at 1m in a free field in Standard mode at 19°C ambient temperature.
Installation & Care
Primarily intended for outdoor residential installation. Any proposed indoor location must be assessed by a qualified installer against Rinnai’s requirements. Installation must be completed by licensed tradespeople, with the specified clearances and suitable water quality. Not suitable for pool, spa or hydronic heating.
Solar PV compatibility applies to units manufactured from July 2026, serial number WGZABX2321 onwards. Check the unit data label and installation guide before specifying solar integration.
Rinnai recommends servicing every two years. Warranty terms and conditions apply; refer to our Warranty page and Rinnai’s product warranty documentation.
