About BPIR information
What does BPIR mean?
BPIR stands for Building Product Information Requirements. This information helps people understand a building product’s intended use and how it contributes to compliance with the New Zealand Building Code. It can include limitations, installation instructions and maintenance requirements.
Is a technical data sheet the same as a BPIR document?
A specification sheet, installation guide or warranty may provide useful supporting information, but it may not contain all of the required BPIR information. The directory distinguishes BPIR links from general technical resources. Please contact us if you need a particular disclosure document.
What if my product is not listed?
Email us the brand, product name and model or code. We can help identify the applicable information and follow up with the supplier where needed.
